Privacy Policy

This policy describes how BatchReel ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit batchreel.com and use the BatchReel application to schedule and publish videos to your connected social media accounts.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you submit the waitlist form, we collect the email address you provide. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details.

Connected accounts and content. When you connect a social media account (such as YouTube), we receive and store the access credentials (OAuth tokens) that the platform issues, along with basic profile details that platform provides — typically your account name and profile image — so we can show you which account is connected. We also store the videos and captions you upload in order to publish them at the times you schedule.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our web server records standard request data, including your IP address, the time of the request, the page you requested, your browser type and version, and the referring URL. This information is logged for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostic purposes.

We do not currently use cookies for tracking or third-party advertising analytics. If that changes, we will update this policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To publish the videos you upload to the connected accounts and at the times you schedule.
• To show you which accounts are connected and the status of your scheduled posts.
• To send you product updates and notify you when BatchReel becomes available, if you joined the waitlist.
• To operate, maintain, and secure the site and application.
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
• To respond to inquiries you send to us.

We use the access you grant to a connected platform only to perform the actions you ask BatchReel to perform on that platform. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to build profiles of you.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With service providers that help us operate the site (such as our hosting and email delivery providers), who are bound to use the information only on our behalf.
• When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BatchReel, our users, or others.
• In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in the use of your information.

4. Data Retention

We retain your email address until you ask us to remove it or until we no longer need it for the purpose for which it was collected. Server access logs are typically retained for less than 90 days and then rotated.

5. Your Choices

You can:

• Ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@batchreel.com or by replying to any of our emails.
• Request a copy of the information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address above.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy law (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation). We will honor those rights to the extent they apply.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, including HTTPS encryption in transit and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Connected Platforms and Third-Party APIs

BatchReel connects to third-party platforms — including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, and LinkedIn — using each platform's official authentication (OAuth). We request only the permissions necessary to publish content on your behalf and to display which account is connected. We describe those permissions before you grant them, and you can disconnect any account at any time from the connections page inside BatchReel.

YouTube (Google API Services)

BatchReel's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• When you connect a YouTube channel, BatchReel requests permission to upload videos to your channel and to read your channel's basic information (its name and thumbnail), so we can publish the videos you schedule and show you which account is connected.
• We use this Google user data only to provide and improve these user-facing features. We do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. We do not use it for advertising, and humans do not read it except where required for security, to comply with the law, or with your explicit consent.
• By using BatchReel with YouTube, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and your use of Google data is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
• You can revoke BatchReel's access to your Google account at any time via the Google Account permissions page, or by disconnecting the account within BatchReel. When you disconnect, we delete the stored access tokens for that account.

For the other connected platforms, your use of BatchReel is likewise subject to each platform's own terms and privacy policy, and we request only the publishing and basic-profile permissions those platforms require.

9. International Visitors

The site is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes, we will notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.
